-Exercising Political and Civil Rights
-Promoting Global Health
-Advancing Entrepreneurship, Trade and -Economic Opportunity
-Fostering Science, Technology and -Innovation
-Supporting a Sustainable Planet
-Pursuing Grand Challenges

I would like to share my ideas in this challenge(Supporting a Sustainable Planet). I choose this challenge because i become more realised about the importance of sustainable development in construction industry due to the lecture class and USM approaches.

A sustainable development must accounting three aspect which are environment, economy and society to archieve a equilibrium condition and they are all interrelated.

In the evironment aspect, i think that our development should cut down the using of energy (efficiency) and material that will cause pollution to environment. The structure ( building ) we build must be durable and sustainable. On construction of structure, we should protect the surrounding environment to reduce the damage to it.

In the society, everyone rights are all equal and this we called a sustainable development in aspect of society. We should treat eveyone friendly without consider about race, wealth, religous and nation. Everyone are friendly and this will no war occurs then this would lead to peaceful world in the end. A peaceful world is what we need.

In economy aspect, a sustainable economy should be consider together with the aspect of environment and society to create a equilibrium. We wan to archieve a economy not only aim on profit but to anything that can bring benefit to the society and environment too!
Lets us work together to discuss and solve the global issue.

Changes in the Context of Changing Global Governance

Do u think polar shift 2012, Nanotechnology and religion will change the current global governance?

For me , i think the
changing in the environment will surely affected our profesion-Project Manager.

Below is the list of challenges that will affect our profesion.

1) the Globalization and world economic growth

2) Competition between the field of our profesion

3) micr-oelectonice technology

4) increase expectation of customers

5) demographic change

6) Market change

7) the revolution of information technology

8) Lack of Clarity in the Scope of the Project

9) Shifting Organizational Priorities

10) Project Changes Not Well Managed

11) A Lack of Project Management Skills

12) Training of Project Sponsors

So, the search for better and more efficient ways to ultilizing own knowledge and skills in providng serces has become a must to handle the above chanllenges. We can slove these problems by increasing our own potentially and ability, all members must work together and united to archieve a efficient supply chain, be a skillful people, adapte in the market change and always having a motivation(high spirit) to meet the daily challenges.

In the point of my view, i think that all thing are close together and have their own meaning and purpose. The Changing of the environment( The World) will affect all of us. On the other hand , the changing of us-our profesion will also affect back the world.
For the nanotechnology, if we used it properly , it will bring convenience and benefits to us.
For the global governance, i think that democratic element still the main factor that need to consider inside. So that everyone will have their own right. All we need is fairness, equality and justice.

I think everything and element have a balance and we need to maintain the balance for a better future. We must work together to solve these problem.

Law

Law is enforced through a set of institutions. It is a system of rule which shapes economics and society in many ways and regulate the relation between people. There are many types of laws.
The laws are listed below.

1) International law
2) Constitutional and administrative law
3) Criminal law
4) Contract law
5) Tort law
6) Propery law

However, in some countries, religion informs the law. Law provide a rich resource of scholarly inquiry, philosophy, into legal history, sociology or economic analysis. Besides that law also increase the importance and complex of a issue about the fairness, equality and justice.

In the world, we got the laws to regulate our people and ownselves. In the cycber world( INTERNET), there are also a law exist which we called, Cyber law.

What is Cyber law? Cyber law is a law that encapsulate the legal issues that related to use of transactional, communicative, and distributive aspects of technologies and networked information devices. It is a domain covering many areas of law and regulation, but it is less in the field of property or contract. We need cyberlaw too to regulate the people and issuse in the Internet to prevent anything that will affect the property and chattel of a person.

My Profession(Construction Management)

Construction Project Management is the overall planning, co-ordination and control of a project from inception to completion aimed at meeting a client’s requirements in order to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time within authorised cost and to the required quality standards. Project management is the process by which a project is brought to a successful conclusion. Construction project management (CPM) is project management that applies to the construction sector (3rd Forum ”International Construction Project Management” 26th/27th of June 2003 in Berlin).

The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) (a primary US construction management certification and advocacy body) says the 120 most common responsibilities of a Construction Manager fall into the following 7 categories: Project Management Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Safety Management, and CM Professional Practice which includes specific activities like defining the responsibilities and management structure of the project management team, organizing and leading by implementing project controls, defining roles and responsibilities and developing communication protocols, and identifying elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.

An Anttainable future

"An attainable future" Presented by The Globe Editor. This is our title for our assignment 1.

Based on the video of Peter Joseph ( where we are going ), i have thinking many times that i never thing before. Like he said,he wan a world with no government and a cycbernation world. It is quite excited for me. At least i would think that maybe one day it would become true.

So, our title is an attainable future. My group members are Tan Joon Fei,Steven Teoh Thong jin, Hew Wei Gian, Ng King Hui and me. In the day of presentation, 5 of us are present of different views to our lecture.

We present about the future resource trend. Based on views from Peter joseph, we can take our steps to use ther resource correctly by making survey, scan and analyze all the available resources in earth. We tend to find an alternative way to save the earth because we have a highly technology now.

The others that we presented are energy distribution, Human resource, the age of cycbernation, resource-based economy and etc. In the energy distribution, we need a system to handle the distribution so that the energy can distribute continently. So that we called it " a system approach to energy management".

Human resource. Manpower is also one type of resource.Human being is easily to disturbed, so the manpower is inconsistent compared with the machine.
On top of that, if we change the human being with robot when to done all the work , it will be more effective. Human being just need to control and handling the machine only. Although the modern technology had caused a elimination of labors but it increase the production and there will no competition. No competition = no waste of resource.

Resource-based economy advocate that resource acess rather than commerce and for on social contribution. This is a new incentive system. We need it to replace the current cyclical monetary system because our current system had caused poverty in the world. In ideology of resource-based economy , no property is needed for us to own , we shared eveything and everyone has the same right. So that we can carry out all the ideas to solve the problems of starvation and the absence of water in other countries.

In the context of resource based economy, ther is no wars, wastage of resources, poverty, competitions and rubbish. Resource-based economy is one of the ways to solve the these problems. Thanks~
